The TRUPCR® EGFR Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test intended for the qualitative detection of EGFR somatic mutations in the genomic DNA extracted from fresh, frozen or formalin fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or liquid biopsy.
The TRUPCR® EGFR kit is based on allele specific amplification and is achieved by nested ARMS PCR. The detection is achieved using fluorescent probes labelled with FAM, VIC and ROX. TRUPCR® EGFR Kit comprises of five separate PCR amplification reaction mixes: where mutation-specific reactions (exons 18, 19, 20, and 21 of the EGFR gene) and a reference (wild type control in exon 2 without any known polymorphism/mutation) is amplified simultaneously.
Key Features:
- Selective Amplification of DNA containing mutation with nested ARMS PCR.
- Validated on formalin fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or liquid biopsy (cfDNA).
- Detects 32 different mutations of exon 18, 19, 20 & 21.
- All mutation detected in multiplex reaction in 5 tube format.
- Sensitive to detect up to 0.2% mutation in EGFR gene with input of 3-5ng of DNA.
- Software is provided for final result interpretation.
- Kit detects first line resistant mutation T790M and second-third line resistant mutation C797S.
- Easy work flow & compatible with various Real Time PCR instruments.
