The TRUPCR® Malaria Detection Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test, based on real time PCR technology, for the detection of Plasmodium spp. specific DNA, including the five human pathogenic species Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium knowlesi from whole blood of human origin.The TRUPCR® Malaria Detection Kit is based on amplification of conserved region by primer and probes specific for Plasmodium spp. The detection is achieved using fluorescent probes labelled with HEX Channel. In this kit there are two independent reactions running in parallel in single tube: the first detects Plasmodium spp. in HEX channel and second detects Internal Control (IC) in Texas Red channel which allows excluding unreliable results.
